Compare 10 of the best SEO agencies in Malaysia (2026) by price, services and contract terms. Find the right fit for your budget, plus a lower-cost option.
Picking an SEO agency in Malaysia can feel like a gamble. Search engine optimisation (SEO) is the work of helping your website show up on Google when people search for what you sell. Every agency says it can do that. Few make it easy to compare them.
The market is big. DataReportal reports 35.4 million internet users in Malaysia at the end of 2025, with online penetration at 98 percent. Your customers are online. The real question is who helps them find you.
This guide looks at 10 SEO agencies in Malaysia. I read each agency’s own website. I noted what it offers, what it charges and who it suits. Where a price is not public, I say so. I did not invent any numbers.
Not every business needs a full agency, though. If you only want a small job done, a freelancer can be a cheaper first step. Marketplaces like Fiverr let you hire an SEO freelancer for one task or a small monthly plan. You can test the water before you sign a long contract.
Let’s start with how I compared the agencies.
Table of Contents
How I Compared the Best SEO Agencies in Malaysia
This comparison is based on publicly available information from each agency’s website as of September 2026 and is not sponsored by any agency listed.
I have not hired any of these agencies. I am not claiming first-hand results. This is research, not a personal review.
I used the same checklist for every agency:
- What services does it offer?
- Are prices public?
- Does it offer a guarantee? What are the terms?
- How long is the contract?
- Who is it a good fit for?
The list is in alphabetical order. It is not a ranking. The best agency is the one that fits your budget, your industry and your goals.
Prices are in Malaysian ringgit (RM). Taxes may apply. Agencies change their plans often. Check the current price and terms with any agency before you decide.
How to Read an SEO Agency Quote
SEO quotes look alike on the surface. The details inside them are very different. Here are the terms you will see most.
Keywords. A keyword is a search phrase, such as “dental clinic Subang.” A plan with 10 keywords means the agency will work on 10 phrases. More keywords usually means more work and a higher price.
Backlinks. A backlink is a link from another website to yours. Search engines treat good links as a sign of trust. Quality matters more than count. Ask which sites the links come from.
Domain rating (DR). DR is a score from 0 to 100 that a third-party tool gives to a site’s link strength. Some agencies quote DR ranges for the links they place.
Content. Many plans include a set number of articles each month. Some agencies charge extra for writing.
GEO and AEO. Generative engine optimisation (GEO) shapes your pages so AI tools such as ChatGPT can cite you. Answer engine optimisation (AEO) helps your page become the direct answer to a question.
Guarantees. Most guarantees promise a number of keywords on page one, or a refund. They do not promise a number-one spot. Read the fine print.
Contract length. Some agencies ask for three months. Others ask for six or twelve. Ask before you sign.
SEO Agencies in Malaysia at a Glance

The 10 Best SEO Agencies in Malaysia
1. Berkshire Media
Website: berkshiremedia.com.my
Berkshire Media began as a social analytics firm. Its site says the team combines engineers, marketers and communication experts. SEO sits next to its work in reputation management, campaign strategy and social media monitoring. The site also says it has 14 years in digital marketing.
The SEO page covers keyword research, competitor analysis, technical SEO, local SEO and content. It also lists AI search work under GEO. Digital PR is part of the offer too. That means earning mentions and links from news and industry sites, rather than just posting on directories.
Pricing is public. There are three monthly plans:
- SEO Basic, RM800: 10 to 20 keywords, on-page work on five pages, two articles and one external PR article.
- SEO Standard, RM2,500: 20 to 40 keywords, 14 pages, four articles and three PR articles.
- SEO Enterprise, RM4,500: 40 to 70 keywords, 20 pages, six articles and six PR articles.
The two higher plans add reporting, competitor analysis and backlink analysis.
The page also says it guarantees SEO results within three to six months. Ask for the exact terms in writing. Results depend on many things, including your industry and your site.
The firm also sells an offshore SEO service for US brands, from $1,000 a month.
Pricing: RM800, RM2,500 and RM4,500 a month.
Best for: Brands that care about reputation and want PR-style link building inside a clear, tiered plan.
2. BThrust
Website: bthrust.com.my
BThrust is a Kuala Lumpur agency based at KL Eco City. Its site says it has offered SEO since 2014. It lists more than 1,500 customers and shows badges from review sites such as Clutch and GoodFirms. Those are the agency’s own claims, so treat them as a starting point.
The service list is wide. It covers technical SEO, on-page work, link building, local SEO and e-commerce SEO. It also offers AI SEO, which includes GEO and AEO. BThrust runs paid search campaigns as well, so you can add ads later.
Pricing is public. There are three monthly plans:
- Pro, RM1,500: 15 keywords.
- Premium, RM1,800: 20 keywords.
- Enterprise, RM2,300: 30 keywords.
Each plan includes monthly reports, competitor research, “web 2.0” links and a few blog posts. Web 2.0 links are links placed on free blog-style sites. Each plan also lists a keyword guarantee. For example, Pro promises eight keywords in Google’s top 10 within 12 months. The page notes that prices vary by industry and keywords.
The site gives a rough timeline. It says early ranking movement often appears in 60 to 90 days. Traffic growth may take four to eight months. Strong authority in a niche can take 8 to 12 months or more.
BThrust also offers a free site audit, which it values at RM500. Before you sign, ask where the links will be placed. Also ask what happens if the guarantee is missed.
Pricing: RM1,500, RM1,800 and RM2,300 a month.
Best for: Startups and small firms that want low published prices and a clear keyword target.
3. Exabytes
Website: exabytes.my/seo
Exabytes is best known for domains, web hosting and cloud services. Its site says it has served more than 160,000 businesses over 26 years. SEO is one of several digital services it sells. Others include website design, Google Ads and Facebook Ads.
Its current SEO pitch centres on AI search. The plans cover on-page work, off-page work, backlink management, local SEO and what it calls LLM AI search optimisation. LLM stands for large language model, the tech behind chatbots. The page also explains GEO and AEO in plain terms.
Pricing is public:
- AI SEO Standard, from RM2,288 a month: 10 keywords and one 800-word article a month. It guarantees at least five keywords on page one within 12 months.
- AI SEO Pro, from RM4,488: 30 keywords and two articles a month. It guarantees at least 15 keywords.
- AI SEO Ultra, from RM6,688: 50 keywords and four articles a month. It guarantees at least 25 keywords.
There is also an enterprise service, by proposal.
The terms sit on the same page. The minimum contract is six months. After that, service continues on a rolling annual contract, billed yearly in advance. The page also says there are no refunds on cancellation. Read those terms closely before you commit.
The company runs its own events and publishes SEO articles on its blog, which is useful if you want to learn before you buy.
Pricing: From RM2,288, RM4,488 and RM6,688 a month, with a six-month minimum.
Best for: Businesses that already use Exabytes hosting and want SEO, domains and infrastructure from one provider.
4. Kang Xiang (KX & Partners)
Website: kangxiang.info
Kang Xiang began in 2012 as a freelance web designer. It has since grown into KX & Partners Sdn Bhd, based in Puchong, Selangor. Its site says it is an ISO 9001-certified Google Premier Partner with a 17-person in-house team. Web design is the core. SEO, Google Ads, branding and photography sit around it.
The SEO page has three plans:
- Basic, RM880 a month: 10 keywords and 100 backlinks. Article writing costs extra.
- Advanced, RM1,480: 20 keywords and 200 backlinks, on a six-month subscription.
- Corporate, RM2,080: 60 keywords and 400 backlinks, plus two free articles a month.
Each plan says “contact for promo price,” so ask what you would actually pay.
The page lists the usual tasks: keyword research, on-page fixes, off-page work and monthly reports. The headline says you can rank on page one in 60 to 90 days. The FAQ is more careful. It says less competitive industries may see results in three to six months. It says competitive industries can take a year or more.
Kang Xiang’s regional pages also say it offers flexible plans with a three-month minimum. That is shorter than the 12-month terms it says many agencies use.
The backlink counts are high. Ask which sites the links come from. Link quality matters as much as link count.
Pricing: RM880, RM1,480 and RM2,080 a month.
Best for: Small businesses that need a website plus SEO from one team and want a short first commitment.
5. Locus-T
Website: locus-t.com.my
Locus-T is a Petaling Jaya agency. It sells SEO, AI SEO, paid media, web design, website care and Google Business Profile setup. Its site is available in English, Bahasa Melayu and Chinese. It lists clients in fields such as healthcare, education, manufacturing, real estate and tourism.
Its SEO process has five steps: website analysis, keyword research, on-page work, off-page work, and reporting and analysis. The site also offers a written guarantee. It says 30% of your keywords will reach Google’s first page within 12 months, or you get a refund. It says strong results usually take six to twelve months.
The site shares three case studies, all in the agency’s own words. PichaEats, a Kuala Lumpur social enterprise, saw web traffic rise 538% over a year. NCS Science reached 21 first-page keywords. Floor Depot reported a 70% rise in organic traffic, with over 90% of keywords on page one.
Pricing is not public. The enquiry form asks for your monthly marketing budget. The options are under RM5,000, RM5,001 to RM10,000, RM10,001 to RM15,000 and above RM15,000. The form also offers a guide. It says B2B firms often spend 2% to 5% of revenue on marketing, and B2C firms 5% to 10%.
The agency also offers a free SEO audit and a free SEO e-book.
Pricing: Custom quote after a review.
Best for: Mid-sized businesses that want SEO, ads and a website under one roof and like a written refund guarantee.
6. Maximus
Website: maximus.com.my
Maximus is a web design company that has run since 2002. It builds websites and online shops, manages Google Ads and does SEO. The site says it is a certified Google Partner. It shows a long list of client logos and several written testimonials.
Its SEO plans are priced per year:
- SEO Basic, RM7,800 a year (about RM650 a month): up to 15 keywords, with on-page and off-page work on up to five pages.
- SEO Premium, RM13,600 a year (about RM1,133 a month): up to 25 keywords and 10 pages.
- SEO Ultimate, RM18,500 a year (about RM1,500 a month): up to 40 keywords and 15 pages. It also includes work for Google’s AI Overviews.
Prices are subject to 8% SST. The site shows zero-percent instalment options.
The page lists two kinds of guarantee. The first is a minimum number of keywords ranking. Basic promises six keywords on the first two pages. Premium promises eight on page one. Ultimate promises 12 on page one. The second is a full cash-back promise if there are no results within six months. Terms and conditions apply, so ask to see them.
Reports run to more than 10 pages. The site says they cover rankings, traffic, competitor comparison and conversion goals.
Maximus does not offer month-to-month billing on these plans, so plan for a yearly commitment.
Pricing: RM7,800, RM13,600 and RM18,500 a year, plus SST.
Best for: SMEs that want an annual plan, detailed reports and a cash-back promise.
7. MYSense
Website: mysense.com.my
MYSense is a digital marketing agency in Petaling Jaya. Its site says it has worked with more than 300 Malaysian brands. Most are in healthcare, food and drink, education and e-commerce. SEO sits next to GEO, Google Ads, social media, influencer marketing, TikTok, Xiaohongshu and web development. It also lists white-label services, which means it can do work under another agency’s name.
MYSense treats SEO as part of a wider plan. That suits brands that want one team for search, social posts and creator campaigns. The agency itself notes that this may not suit a business that only wants SEO.
Pricing is custom. The site says a consultation is needed. Its pricing guides describe the market rather than its own rate card. One guide says most businesses pay between RM1,000 and RM10,000 a month for SEO in Malaysia, and most SMEs settle around RM1,500 to RM4,000. Treat that as a market guide, not a MYSense quote.
Another guide gives advice worth keeping. It suggests a three-month minimum and no 12-month lock-in, and says nobody can guarantee specific Google positions.
The site also offers a free SEO audit and a free strategy session that it values at RM3,000.
Pricing: Custom quote after a consultation.
Best for: Brands, especially clinics and online shops, that want SEO with social and influencer work under one account team.
8. Oblique
Website: oblique.com.my
Oblique is a Kuala Lumpur agency founded in 2016. Its site says it has 25 specialists. It sells brand strategy, social media, performance marketing, SEO, GEO and web design. SEO is one of several services.
Oblique treats SEO as a long-term asset. It works in four areas: technical SEO, content and on-page work, authority and links, and local SEO with reporting. It says it never buys links. For off-site links, it maps the coverage worth earning and shows the client how to go after it. Ask how much of that outreach you would handle yourself.
Every project starts with an audit. The site offers a free technical audit before the first meeting. It says quick fixes land in month one and bigger work starts in month two. It also says it does not guarantee rankings.
Pricing is the highest published range in this guide. The FAQ says retainers typically run from RM8,000 to RM30,000 a month, depending on scope, content volume and keyword competition.
The site shows five case studies in its own numbers. Mulford Malaysia, a B2B plastics supplier, reports traffic up 1,340% over 12 months, from about 500 to more than 5,000 monthly visitors. Village Grocer, Sunway House, Petico and Aspida Footwear also appear.
Pricing: Typically RM8,000 to RM30,000 a month, per its FAQ.
Best for: Established brands with larger budgets that want SEO, branding and web design managed together.
9. Primal
Website: primal.com.my
Primal is a digital agency at KL Eco City in Kuala Lumpur. Its site says it has more than 150 in-house experts and over 300 brand partners. It shows award badges from groups such as Google and Search Engine Land. Those are its own claims.
The service list is broad. It covers SEO, link building, content marketing and conversion rate optimisation (CRO). CRO means improving your pages so more visitors take action. Primal also runs paid media on Google, Meta and TikTok. It promotes a service called ElevateSEO, aimed at appearing in AI search results.
Case studies lean toward e-commerce and retail. They include a LEGO-certified store, a modest fashion brand and a menswear chain. The site shows growth figures for each. Check that the industry and goals match yours before you compare.
Pricing is not public. There are no SEO packages on the site. The homepage enquiry form lists RM30,000 a month as the minimum monthly budget for digital marketing overall. That figure covers all services, not SEO alone. Still, it tells you Primal aims at larger accounts.
The site also offers free tools, such as an SEO return-on-investment calculator and a schema markup generator. They are handy if you want to test ideas before you talk to any agency.
Pricing: Custom quote. Its form starts at RM30,000 a month for digital marketing.
Best for: Larger brands, especially in e-commerce, retail and FMCG, that want SEO tied to paid media.
10. Xedea
Website: xedea.com
Xedea is a digital marketing agency in Subang Jaya, Selangor. Its site says it has more than 10 years in Malaysia and works with 800+ businesses. Its clients span health and beauty, education, fashion, logistics, IT and manufacturing. Xedea also runs Facebook, Instagram and Google ads, social strategy and web development.
Pricing is public. There are three monthly plans:
- Growth Visibility, RM3,984: 50+ tracked keywords plus unlimited content keywords. It includes 24 articles over 12 months and a link budget of up to RM800 on sites rated DR 30 to 40.
- Search AI Visibility, RM6,384: adds AEO and GEO work and tracks five AI prompts. It includes 52 pieces of content over 12 months and a link budget of up to RM2,000 on DR 40 to 50 sites.
- Search Dominance, RM9,784: tracks 10 AI prompts. It includes 100 pieces of content over 12 months and a link budget of up to RM4,000 on DR 40 to 70 sites.
Every plan comes with monthly reports built in Semrush, plus quarterly and annual reviews.
Xedea names its link budgets and DR ranges up front. That makes plans easier to compare with other agencies.
The site shows case studies in its own words. An award-winning medical centre reports over 200% growth in monthly sales and more than RM3,000,000 in revenue over a five-year partnership. An eye care centre reports 60% growth in monthly traffic. Ask how much of each result came from SEO and how much from other services.
Pricing: RM3,984, RM6,384 and RM9,784 a month.
Best for: SMEs in health, beauty and education that want clear tiers and AI search work built in.
Want a Lower-Cost, Faster Alternative to a Full Agency?
Look back at the prices above. A full agency plan is a real commitment. Even the lowest published plans run into the hundreds of ringgit a month. Some ask for a minimum term, such as Exabytes with six months. The higher tiers run into the thousands.
That is fair for a big, busy site. But it may be too much if you are just starting out. Maybe you only need an SEO audit. Maybe you need ten blog posts, or a fix for your page titles. In that case, a freelancer can be a smarter first step.
Fiverr is a marketplace where freelancers sell services as fixed-price gigs. You pick a gig, see the price and read past reviews before you pay. You can buy one small job or a monthly plan. If it works, you can hire the same person again.
Find the right freelancer on Fiverr and compare a few sellers before you choose.
Quality does vary, so shop with care. Check the seller’s reviews. Ask what work is included. Be wary of anyone who promises thousands of links for a few dollars. Google lists buying or selling links to influence rankings as link spam. Those links can hurt you more than help.
I wrote two guides to help you shop:
- 10 Best Monthly SEO Services on Fiverr Starting at $50 covers ongoing plans for smaller budgets.
- 8 Best SEO Agencies on Fiverr Starting at $100 covers team-based options.

Frequently Asked Questions
How much does an SEO agency in Malaysia cost?
Published starting prices in this guide run from about RM650 a month to RM9,784 a month. Maximus is at the low end, with an annual plan spread over 12 months. Xedea’s top tier is at the high end of the public plans. Oblique says its retainers typically run RM8,000 to RM30,000 a month. Some agencies, such as Locus-T, MYSense and Primal, quote after a consultation.
The price depends on the number of keywords, the amount of content and how competitive your industry is. Always compare what is included, not just the monthly fee.
How long does SEO take to work?
Agencies in this guide give similar answers. BThrust says early movement can appear in 60 to 90 days, with traffic growth in four to eight months. Oblique says content-led gains usually take three to six months. Exabytes and Locus-T both say competitive keywords can take six months to a year.
Treat SEO as a slow, steady investment. A plan that promises page-one results in a few weeks deserves a hard look.
Can an SEO agency guarantee a number-one ranking?
No. Google says no one can guarantee a number-one ranking, and it warns you to be wary of SEOs who claim they can.
Some agencies offer a narrower promise. It might be a number of keywords on page one, or a refund if targets are missed. Those can be fair if the terms are clear. Read which keywords count, how long the agency has to deliver and how refunds work.
What is the difference between SEO, GEO and AEO?
SEO helps your site rank in search results. GEO shapes your content so AI tools, such as chatbots, can cite it. AEO structures your pages so they can be picked as the direct answer to a question.
Many agencies in this guide now list GEO or AEO next to SEO. Ask how they measure AI visibility. If they cannot explain it clearly, that is a useful signal.
Are backlinks safe to buy?
It depends on how the links are made. Links earned through good content and real outreach are the goal. Links bought in bulk, or made by automated tools, can break Google’s rules.
Several agencies here list backlink counts in their plans. That is fine, but ask where the links go live and how they are chosen. Quality and relevance matter more than the number.
Should I pick a monthly plan or an annual plan?
Monthly plans give you more freedom. Annual plans, such as Maximus’s, can lower the monthly cost and may come with instalments. Whatever you choose, check the minimum term, the refund rules and what happens when the contract ends.
How do I choose the right SEO agency?
Start with your budget and goals. Then shortlist three agencies and ask each the same questions:
- What exactly is included each month?
- How do you build links, and where do they appear?
- How will you report results?
- What is the contract length and cancellation policy?
- Can I see a case study from a business like mine?
The answers will tell you more than a sales pitch.
Conclusion
There is no single best SEO agency in Malaysia for everyone. The right pick depends on your budget, your industry and how much help you need.
If you want low published prices, look at Maximus, Berkshire Media, Kang Xiang and BThrust. If you want AI search work built in, look at Exabytes and Xedea. If you have a large budget and want brand, web and SEO together, look at Oblique or Primal. If you want SEO alongside social and influencer work, look at MYSense. If you like a written guarantee, compare the terms at Locus-T and Maximus.
Remember that SEO is slow. Ask for clear reports. Read the contract. And be careful with any promise of a number-one ranking.
Whatever you choose, ask questions before you pay. A good agency will answer them plainly.
